Eid Al-Fitr – Shawwal 1, 1430
Congratulations to all who have fasted the Blessed month of Ramadan. May you all be rewarded to the level of your efforts.
The crescent moon of Shawwal 1430 was not seen this evening Saturday September 19th. With that Eid will commence on Monday September 21st. The photo above is the portion of the sky where the crescent would have been had it been visible.
I extend my wishes for a wonderful Eid Al-Fitr to all. May it be a day of eating and drinking and Remembering your Lord.

Eid Mubarak to you as well. I don’t understand one thing. Should the Moon not appear on the maghrib of the 20th (following the day of the 19th) which has yet to come… I thought you lived in the USA where days follow some hours later than hours (in Pakistan)

The photo above was taken on the 19th of September. I fully expect to see the crescent tomorrow on teh 20th of September and hope to post it here as well. I am in the U.S., in fact on teh extreme west coast in the San Francisco Area. If we don’t see it on a given day, I don’t know many else who will. Eid Kareem!
