Ten Thousand Miles
Each autumn and spring, Canadian geese migrate across North America flying upto 2000 miles one way during their journey. Over their lifetime, they will have flown well over 10,000 miles. Each morning as the sun begins to rise, the geese ready themselves for another leg of the journey towards their winter weathering grounds in autumn or their summer homes where they were born in spring. This cycle of returning home, to the place of origin, is a sign for us to ponder on. For we too are on a journey, and it ends at its starting point in the presence of The Creator. And each day brings us closer to our destination.
