Longing For Peace

A hilltop meadow basks in the warm sunlight as the day comes to a close. Blooming flowers, green grass, a pastel sky and stoic trees come together in a solidarity of peace that is moving and yet at the same time paralyzing; awe inspiring and yet mesmerizing. How can a world so diverse and varied be at such peace with itself? Why do we have such a hard time doing what the rest of world seems to manage with such little effort? Could it be that in submission to the One who created this world our longing for peace can be realized?
