Rush Hour

Like cars coursing through the concrete maze at rush hour, the surf surges in-between these sea stacks in a time lapsed photo creating the illusion of motion in a still image. Interestingly though, this photo was taken during “rush hour”. Yet the feelings and emotions normally associated with rush hour traffic was pleasantly absent atop the sea cliffs. Frustration, anxiety, haste, impatience, and even rage at times emerge during rush hour traffic. And even though the surf at times with all its power hits the cliffs and cracks with a clap as loud as thunder, it never seems to exhibit those vices nor make them emerge in us. So next time you are in rush hour traffic and sense an episode coming on, head for the sea and let its rushing waters sooth your soul.
