Father of the Forest
Deep in the Santa Cruz Mountains a tree stands firm. More than 2000 years old with a circumference of 70 feet and towering more than 250 feet above the forest floor, this ancient redwood stands as the Father keeping watch over the forest vigilantly. Firm, grounded, unwavering, strong and dependable, this redwood symbolizes the epitome of fatherhood. It has seen it all, everything for the last 2000 years and it still stands guard over the forest, and every other tree or creature in its shadow feels assured and safe as long as it is there. Just as we do when we stand in the shadow of the man, we call Dad.
