Giraffe

A young giraffe depicted as prey in the throes of death as it bears the pain of one spear in the rump with another poised for its neck. Everything in this world comes to its end at some time. At times it is from natural causes and at other times due to external causes. At one time, this giraffe was real, as the ancients did not invent but only related that which was real to them. At one time this giraffe roamed the savanah of West Africa, but now ceases to exist excpet in this artist's record. Imortalized in stone for all to see and remember. If only we could be so fortunate.
