Moran Morning
Mount Moran is an anchor of such great magnitude. It towers 6000 feet from its base over Jackson Hole in Wyoming. Solid, firm and apparently unchanging with time, it settles our heart when we stand in its shadow. The mountains have always given humans a sense of security, a sense of trust. For we need, deep down inside of us, the reassurance that we have something we can rely on, something that will always be there when we need it. Few things in this life can provide us with that throughout our entire life. However, the mountains can and have been doing so for millennia. And on this morning, Mount Moran most certainly calmed this photographer’s heart.
