How do we know what is real and what is not? How do we know if someone speaks to us in truths or untruths, or if what we are seeing is truly what is in front of our eyes? We perceive the world through our senses of sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. Our brain interprets what our senses deliver to it. We synthesize these electrical impulses and formulate our experiences and then lock them away as a memory. But just because our brain does this, does not mean what we experience is real. Only the heart can discern the difference between truth and falsehood. And yet many of us are duped on a daily basis because our hearts are enshrouded in darkness. The heart must be illuminated with the guiding light of the One whose Light permeates all of creation. With that light lighting our way through life, nothing can fool us or dissuade us from knowing what is real and what is not.
