The Long Wait
Patience is a virtue that is in short supply in our age. Everyone wants instantaneous results. From instant fast food to instant photographs, no one can wait for results. However, in nature, things that happen in an instant; earthquakes, tornadoes, flash floods and tsunamis bring nothing but disaster in their wake. While those things that occur slowly bring incredible beauty with them, a blooming flower, a majestic redwood tree or a deep canyon do not just happen over night. Over time, they slowly mature into objects of perfection born out of patience and perseverance. For those willing to endure the long wait, the reward is innumerable and very satisfying. Take the time to bring your works to fruition. It might take years or maybe even a lifetime, but in the end, noting worth having ever came quickly.
