Dear Friends, Supporters and Patrons of Organic Light,
SUMMER MESSAGE
Wow! Is Summer almost over?! What a hectic last few months. Isn't Summer supposed to be filled it "Lazy Days"? Summer time was always my favorite time of the year when I was growing up. You were free from school and you could do "stuff" all day long, every day, the whole summer through. Bike riding to the wash down by the flood basin, fishing for bass in the local pond, building forts and push carts, dirt clod fights in the lot down the street, a quick game of "ditch-em" after sundown before Mom called you in for the night. With a gang of about 15 kids in my neighborhood, we "tore up" the whole area. Boy were we rambunctious.
Summer is a time for activity, a time when youth , strength and energy are at their fullest. A time for adventure. And this summer has been no different for me. In late May I found my self, well, self-employed. My "regular job" of being an engineer ended with a layoff, and that opened the door to what so far has been quite an adventure. I started to direct all my energy toward Organic Light Photography and it has been both rewarding and difficult. Bye-Bye Corporate America. Now I devout my time to Organic Light Photography and to a non-profit food bank in my area where I now work part time to help along with the... you know... bills.
All in All, it has been you, my friends, supporters and patrons that have made the last few months fruitful, bearable and interesting. Friends...its what made my summers as a youth interesting as well. Had there not been 14 other kids in my neighborhood in the summer, it would have been incredibly boring. Friends...where would we be without them. In Arabic a Friend is known as a Sadeeq, which means someone who you can trust, someone who you can rely on in good times and in bad. I know I have Friends, and I thank God for them whole heartedly, we all should.
So if you haven't had the chance yet this summer, call up a friend and do something reminiscent of summer vacation,... of adventure, ...of Friendship!

In other news, there are several new images that you will want to see and possibly want to hang in your home or office. It has been great photographing with the new 4"x5" view camera. I now almost exclusively photograph with it. You really need to see one of the photographs made with this camera in person, the detail is unbelievable.
Take some time and visit the New Images page at www.organiclightphoto.com/news for the latest Large Format images of Organic Light.
I have also e-published another article that can be accessed from the News page on the above link as well.
Also, don't miss out on seeing the work of a fellow photographer and Friend, Dan Baumbach, whose website link is also on the News page. If Organic Light does not suit your style or taste, then maybe the Timeless Light of Dan Bambach will. Check it out!
THE 2004 SHOW SCHEDULE
This years' show and exhibit schedule has been very full. I am off this weekend to Greagle, CA and then back to Santa Clara in September, and rounding out the year in Half Moon Bay at the pumpkin festival in October. I hope you can come by and at least say Hello.
A HUMBLE REQUEST
Operating Organic Light Photography is time and capital intensive. It survives by you; my Patrons, Supporters and Friends. I am grateful that you have in the past helped Organic Light Photography with your purchase of one of my Fine Art Archival Prints or digital image for publishing or web use. My request is that you pass on this email to someone whom you think will appreciate Organic Light and would like to brighten their lives, homes, offices, or publication with some Organic Light. Your continued support and patronage is what keeps Organic Light Photography a viable source of beauty and inspiration.
